“ Haidilao is great in the States. Ironically, it's one of the worser chains in China haha. I would choose Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House over Haidilao though, so I give it a 4/5. But Cupertino location is totally a jam. Food tastes relatively high quality and the soup bases are always good. Plentiful sauce bar, although mediocre desserts. But I still leave happy :-) ”

“ It was a last minute decision. We intended to go try the US version, after eating it in China. Tried to reserve online, but don't see any availability. So I called, and asked if there is still any availability for tonight. Reception lady said to check online, told her I didn't see any, so I wanted to call and just ask. It was 6:40pm on a Sunday. Luckily, we were only 10 minutes away, and we commited for a last moment 7:00pm immediate booking. Lucky coincidence, it worked out!! Due to capacity, we waited extra 10 minutes in the seating area, as we played with kids toys and munched on snacks and lemonade. No problem. Got seated, had a very nice server named Gabe. He helped us with recommendations for first time ppl, broth options, etc. our conversations were fast, punctual, quick, and smooth. Got our food, enjoyed the sauce bar, seaweed salad, ice cream, and tong sui deserts. We asked nicely the phrase words for freebies. It felt very cringe, but we were there for a good and fun time! Gabe even offered to give us all of current toys/snacks they had on hand. We asked about his personal life/background for a bit, and left; walking out with a bag full of snacks, toys, tomato broth, and more stuff. Customer service at front reception/on the phone: 9/10 (just so busy) Server: 12/10 (nice, kind, punctual, professional, and can still have energy for a quick convo and slow down the moment for a bit, while remaining calm during his shift, and coming back from break). Cleanliness: staff always walking by to check on you and clearing empty plates: 9/10 Food quality: (probably a taste preference: the US broths was more savory than the ones in China. It wasn't just all spicy. There were salty and sweet ones too) 9/10 Sauce bar: 9/10 Desert section: 8/10 Ice cream: soft, smooth texture 9/10 Busy level: always at night Thank you again Gabe ”

“ Food: YUMMMY HOTPOT WITH BIG CHOICE OF DIFFERENT BROTHS!! You can even change the broth if you dont like the 4 you chose!! Service/Ambiance: DEFINITELY SEE WHY THEYRE KNOWN FOR THEIR SERVICE!! Really friendly and welcoming people!! We said it was my friend birthday and they had a bunch of things (little cake, backdrop, crown, and a goodie bag!!) “ My friend and I met up at Haidilao Hotpot. They are located in Main Street Cupertino across the way from Eureka, Lazy Dog Restaurant, etc. They have a parking garage and a parking lot for the whole complex. Though, during peak hours, it can get crowded. They are always popular and crowded. What amazed me was when you wait in line to get a table, they offer you complimentary spa water and little snacks/candies. When you finally are seated, they provide a plastic bag for your cell phone, etc. They give you a bib. The service is nice and attentive! Both inside and outside seating availability. Heat lamps are provided if you dine outside. Choice your soup base from... Tomato, Buttery Spicy, Spicy Pork, Mushroom, and Pork Bone Broth. Choose your ala carte proteins, vegetables, and noodles. This is not an AYCE place. LOL. Hotpot is always a fun, social dining experience but here at Haidilao they provide you with a excellent experience! ”

“ This review is long overdue!! This was my absolute first experience with Haidilao Hotpot as a whole. While I am no stranger to hotpot, this was my first time actually enjoying this type of food on a higher scale when it comes to quality. Food quality is great, customer service is attentive, and the staff is kind. The staff is very open to walking you through how the dining experience works and they are eager to help. This Haidilao location is huge in size, very spacious, and the ventilation is great. Restrooms are stocked with items that patrons may need- all complimentary!! Not my favorite hotpot location since I do prefer AYCE and free range to sauces/condiments but this place deserves a solid 4 stars. ”

“ Now THIS is an interesting restaurant experience! Hotpot with a show. Came here for lunch with my extended family. We ordered lots of fresh veggies, mushrooms, meat, and noodles. Kids eat free for lunch. Highly recommend ordering the dancing noodle experience. They have the "face changing" mask show at 1pm on weekends, and I heard they have some disco nights, too. We got the split pot with two soup options, one of which was pork bone soup. To be honest, the price is similar to Happy Lamb across the street, but the portions are not as large and there is much less emphasis on the soup. And this is apparent because they don't use bowls - just plates. The soup (and thus the food) was also quite bland for me. What makes up for it is the sauce bar, which is super extensive. It is an add-on at $2.99 pp but it's worth it. Also included: soft serve ice cream and red bean dessert I highly compliment the service. It was hard to understand her (mask + accent + restaurant noise), but she was super attentive and anticipated almost everything we needed to have a great experience. She regular cleared the table and dishes, kept things moving at a nice pace. Again, highly recommend for the experience! ”

“ Hands down, one of the best experiences in the Bay Area! We personally had reservations so did not have to experience a "wait", we did sit in their lobby for a bit where there is a bunch of free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy beforehand. Service was great, Candy was very lovely and took time to answer our questions. You mainly order on their iPad and if you feeling like experiencing a small performance, try ordering the dancing noodles! You will not regret. If you google some their "secret codes" and say them to your server, you might get some freebies! We ended up doing a quarter pot with four broths -- Golden, Tomato, Pork and Sichuan Spicy! All were delicious, I absolutely love the Golden broth. It was a non-spicy broth that had almost like a buttery flavor to it. But I truly think you cannot go wrong with any of it! Their wagyu is definitely top notch and if you are coming here, I say just splurge and try it out! Looking for something refreshing or sweet at the end, their sauce bar has fruit and a soft serve machine!! (It isn't free but unlimited for around 3-5 bucks per person) ”
